(Rock and Roll Music)
Hey what's up you guys? It's Premiere Gal here and in this tutorial I'm going to
show you how to download these free
glitch presets that Motion Array
developed. They are completely free
awesome you can use them in your
commercial projects pretty much anything that you like so the link to download
the preset is in the description box
below. So as you see here I have the
sequence from the opening that you just
saw but this does not have any glitch
effects added to them it's just the raw
footage which is from Pond5 by the way
I'm a member with pond5 they have heaps of awesome video 4k aerials they have
photos, illustrations, everything so I
encourage you to go check out pond5.
Sp how do you install presets? They're not
transitions, they're presets. So what you
do is you go over here to effects and
you right-click on presets and here is
where you can click on import presets
and then after you download the preset
from the link in the description box
below you'll get this file that's a .prfpset
so you're going to click on that
and you're going to hit open I already
have it installed so I'm not going to
hit open. So once you hit open when you
open up this folder now you'll see that
there's five glitch effects so now I'm
going to show you how to apply these
glitch presets to the clips effectively
and give you some tips just to make it
you know more smooth and look better.
So for the first clip here I to use glitch
3 so what all I did was just click drag
and drop it and it automatically applies
the preset to the front end of the clip
so now if we play it back you can see
the glitch occurs in the beginning. If
you wanted to occur in the middle or at
the end you have to open up each effect
you can see that there's many effects
here I think there's eight different
effects to create this glitch so what
you'd have to do is actually open it up
and then just literally highlight these
with a rectangular marquee like so and
drag them over to another location so I
don't want to do that so I'm just going
to hit control Z. In the next clip I use glitch 4 and all I did
again was just drag and drop glitch 4
on the front end here so because you'll
notice there's black here. Well I want it
to almost fade together like a
transition so what you need to do is
actually just create a rectangular
marquee bring it up to video layer two
and then just sort of overlap it on top
and so that way when the glitch happens
you see the video beneath you see video
layer one beneath video layer two so
that way it's more smooth, right? And you
can also apply these glitches to text so
this is just the text layer that I use
with the new type tool if you haven't
seen my new essential graphics panel on
how to use this type flow you should
definitely check it out. So for the text
here I use glitch number one so I'm just
going to click and drag that over here
and it applies it to the front. Now one
thing that I noticed with the glitch
effect on the text is that it actually
removed the back, it doesn't display
on v2 below so to fix that all I did was
turn off the offset make sure that it's
selected on the clip that you applied it
to and then go over to offset and just
switch this effect off and now you will
see that video is now below which is
what we want to happen right then I use
glitch number two here and so let's just
click on glitch number two drag it over
and again I brought it up to video layer
four and I'm it looks like I'm just
basically stacking them on top of each
other and you'll see that this glitch
kind of has this wave warp effect and
you can see it over here the wave warp
effect was actually used and so by using
this it's really awesome because you can
actually see how these glitches were
built and maybe in the future you could
start building your own and actually
what's funny somebody actually told me
that this effect actually makes it seems
like they have a migraine like some
people that have migraines actually see
these waves so just a warning for people
to get migraines you may have
bad memories associated with that wave
warp but anyway going on to the next
clip I used glitch number five so again
I just pulled this up to video layer
five and I just overlapped it a bit so
you can get some a video layer four
beneath the transition let's go ahead
and drag glitch number five drop it and
needs to be rendered but you can see
that the glitch has a bunch of on lines
over top so you get that kind of cool
glitch TV effect and so the final the
final version of it was this right here
and so that's it you guys! I hope that
you guys found this glitch preset
tutorial useful and I encourage you to
go to motionarray.comand check out
their freebies and their paid plans I
