Hey what's up everybody and welcome back
to Gal in this video I'm going to be
showing you how to create the 360 matrix
effect that I'm sure you guys have seen
before
they use a lot of cameras around in a
circle and it all captures at the same
time and what we're going to do though
to make a different is only use one
camera so that way you guys can do it in
your own backyard or any location you
don't need to worry about giving like
500 cameras to make it happen so I'm
going to set everything up and do a
voice over to walk you through the exact
process that you should take let's go
ahead and jump on in so I'm here at
Walmart and I was trying to find one of
those Fitness stands that I can jump off
of to create this effect but the closest
thing that I could find is this
trampoline right here so that's what
we're going to use to create the effect
to replicate an inspired matrix effect
I'm going to jump off this trampoline
that we just got and we're going to film
the same shot around a circle to make it
look like I'm frozen in time while I'm
jumping and you guys will see the final
effect after the tutorial so the first
step is to find a fairly empty and flat
location to film 360 degrees around now
we were lucky to find a circular
concrete pad where we can place the
trampoline in the center and from that I
would jump on it so the way this works
is if we place the camera and tripod on
the edge of the circular pad then press
record and then I would jump on the
trampoline we then move the camera about
12 inches to the right along the edge of
this circle and then I would jump again
and then I would just repeat this until
we completed the entire circle around
the trampoline so if you don't have a
circular concrete pad like us be sure to
bring a measuring tape or a rope to make
sure you place the tripod in the same
distance or radius from the trampoline
in the center because as you filmed you
want to form a perfect circle so the
effect will work
so I just finished jumping on the
trampoline it's raining a lot and I hope
that it turns out because I wasn't sure
if I was jumping the exact same way each
time so we're gonna see if it works and
fingers crossed and yes we have an
amazing sponsor for this video
Squarespace with Squarespace I was able
to make an awesome website for Premiere
Gal - PremiereGal.com in addition to making
it easy for me to build a store to sell
my templates I recently discovered that
Squarespace also has some pretty cool
marketing features such as promotional
pop-ups I'm able to customize these to
anything I like such as a newsletter
subscription all I have to do is update
the text and add in a custom photo and
then I'm done and you guys can get 10%
Off your website by clicking the link
below
Squarespace.com/PremiereGal so
we're super grateful for the support and
thanks for sponsoring now back to
Premiere Pro to finish the tutorial so I
started cutting out the moment when I'm
suspended in the air so to achieve this
all I did was scrub through the footage
to the point where I want to cut when
I'm suspended in the air then I delete
the excess footage delete the space in
between and then I just need to cut this
down to one frame so I'm gonna cut right
here so it's just one frame then I'm
gonna repeat it again go to the next
place I want to make the cut when I'm
suspended in the air and then delete the
excess and then literally cut this down
to one frame and then I have to do this
to all of the different shots where I'm
suspended in the air so I'm just going
to repeat this process over and over
again until I'm done I've gone through
from the beginning to end at every
single shot I've just edited at the
moment when I'm suspended in air and
right now it's very choppy because we
need to delete the frames that are a bit
different than the others so if I jumped
a little bit high or my hands were way
out we need to delete those frames and
we need to align them and reposition
them so because I shot this in ultra HD
4k what I'm going to do is make this
sequence 1920 by 1080
Full HD so that way I have more room to
move these clips around and make them
more aligned so I'm going to go to the
project find the sequence which is
called demo I'm going to right click on
it and go into sequence settings and I'm
just going to change this to 1920 by
1080 and then I'm going to hit OK
so now you can see it's much bigger in
frame because we have reduced the frame
size so what I can do is I can go to
effect controls with this first frame
selected and just reposition this like
so and then I'm gonna hit command C ( Ctrl C)
to copy that frame and then I'm just
gonna lasso and select all of them
right-click and paste attributes and
just paste the motion and so now it's
repositioned and this is where we can go
through frame by frame and decide which
frames are bad at which one sort of
reduce the quality and also realign them
so what I'm going to do is move to the
right and you can see that the
trampoline jumps a bit so to realign
them what I'm going to do is drag this
frame up and then pull it over so it's
stacked on top of this first frame and
then with it selected I'm going to
reduce the opacity let's actually click
off the toggle animation and let's
reduce the opacity to 25% and then you
can kind of see what the second frame
looks like overlap so what we want to do
is use the position controls to align
this so that way it's as centered to the
other frame as possible now it's not
perfect but that's much better and then
we can increase the opacity back to a
100 and then we can roll this back
so now there's less of a jump there
let's go to the next one and do the same
thing and I'm gonna pull this over and
then up here I'm just going to make the
opacity 25% and I'm going to reposition
it as much as possible so it's aligned
bring it back up to 100% and literally I
have to go through frame by frame to do
this
just going to quickly go through and make
sure all of them are aligned so this is
the final effect I was able to achieve
after making some minor adjustments it's
still pretty jittery you can see that
each time I jumped it wasn't perfect so
it's kind of not as fluid as I would
have hoped so maybe the next time I try
this experiment I'll actually try to get
a bunch of cameras and I think there are
some cheaper cameras on Amazon that you
can get as a set to do this effect all
in one go it may be hard to do a full
360 but at least I could do a 180 set up
and maybe do a much better job so that's
it and how you create this effect doing
frame by frame with one camera so I hope
that you guys enjoyed the 360 matrix
effect and start doing it yourselves if
you guys do it please be sure to share
the video with me I'd love to see it and
if you guys need any help be sure to
leave a comment below or you guys can
join my Patreon community Premiere Gal
wait not Premiere Gal patreon.com/PremiereGal and I'll see you guys there
that's it for this video and I'll see
you guys next time
bye :-)
it's okay
